National Assessment Governing Board

As a member of the National Assessment Governing Board (NAGB), Dr. Cantú-Wilson contributes to shaping the policies and direction of The Nation’s Report Card (NAEP), the only nationally representative assessment of student achievement in the United States. She also serves as the Vice Chair of the Committee on Standards, Design, and Assessment. With her extensive background in K-12 and higher education leadership, community college governance, and workforce development, she brings a critical perspective to assessment design, policy decisions, and equity considerations.

Committed to educational excellence and accessibility, Cantú-Wilson leverages her expertise to ensure that NAEP results provide actionable insights for educators, policymakers, and the public, supporting data-driven improvements in student learning, teacher effectiveness, and workforce readiness across the nation.
